The Village’s renewable energy portfolio includes investments in five hydroelectric dams, which help offset carbon emissions and support the community’s commitment to a more sustainable energy future.
   
RP3 Recognition
The Village of Yellow Springs Electric Department has earned the Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) Diamond Designation, the highest level awarded by the American Public Power Association. Achieved in 2025, this national recognition reflects the department’s commitment to reliability, safety, workforce development, and effective utility management.
