The Village of Yellow Springs Parks & Recreation Department provides recreational opportunities, coordinates community programs, and manages recreation facilities that bring residents together. The department oversees programming and activities at the John Bryan Community Center, John Bryan Youth Center, and Gaunt Park Pool.

The Village of Yellow Springs is home to 14 parks and green spaces that serve as gathering places for recreation, events, and everyday outdoor enjoyment. From youth sports and seasonal programs to community traditions like Street Fair and Fourth of July celebrations, these spaces play an important role in bringing the community together year-round.

John Bryan Youth Center
The John Bryan Youth Center provides a safe, welcoming space for Yellow Springs youth ages 10–19. Located on the first floor of the John Bryan Community Center, the facility is staffed by Village employees who supervise activities and provide a safe environment for youth.

Typical hours:

• Monday–Friday: 2:30 PM–9:00 PM
• Saturday: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM

Hours may be extended when Yellow Springs Schools are closed for scheduled breaks, teacher in-service days, or weather-related closures.

Youth Center visitors also have access to the John Bryan Community Center gymnasium. Open gym hours vary and are posted at the facility.
   
Gaunt Park & Pool
Located on West South College Street, Gaunt Park is the Village’s largest park and a popular destination for recreation and community activities.

The park features:

• The Village’s community swimming pool
• Two softball diamonds used for community leagues and youth programs
•Facilities for the Yellow Springs Youth Baseball Program

The Gaunt Park Pool operates seasonally each summer, offering recreational swimming for residents and visitors. Details on hours, admission, programs, and seasonal updates are available below.

Community Recreation Facilities
The Parks & Recreation Department manages facility rentals at the John Bryan Community Center, including the gymnasium and Rooms A & B on the second floor. These spaces are available for recreational use, meetings, and events.
