Event Description:
Join the Village of Yellow Springs for the upcoming Community Shred-it Event. This event helps to safely shred & destroy sensitive documents, and assist the community in protecting documents from issues like identity theft and fraud.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 8th, from 10am - 1pm at the John Bryan Community Center.
Binder clips, paper clips, and any other metal objects MUST BE REMOVED PRIOR TO SUBMITTING! Thick books, binders, and other densely wrapped items are not permitted. Please help support this event by preparing your items in advance.
Workers/attendants will not be present to assist bringing items out of vehicles. If you need assistance with your sensitive items, please ensure that you bring support.
This is public event and will be held in the John Bryan Center parking lot. Please ensure that your vehicle is not blocking other attendees, or delaying through traffic.

The Shred-it compactor has the ability of shredding single sheets of paper, as well as paper in small stacks that is not extremely dense. If the compacter attempts to shred items that are not approved, the machine runs the risk of overheating and catching on fire.
Due to the dense nature of cardboard, boxes are not permitted for shredding. In the event that the items presented for shredding are housed in a box, the content of the box will be emptied into the Shred-it bin, and the box will be returned to the owner.
