ATTENTION VILLAGERS:

Tomorrow — Thursday, November 7, 2024 — Insight Pipe Contracting will begin their sliplining project for Fair Acres. This process installs new lines within existing pipes, expediting the work required and reducing the overall cost.

Tomorrow's work will be along Fairfield Pike between N. High and N. Stafford Streets. On Monday, November 11, the project will move into the Fair Acres neighborhood.

A few notes about the project:

• This work will result in a chemical smell released throughout the process. This is a normal, nontoxic byproduct of sliplining.
• It is highly recommended that residents of Fair Acres keep their toilet lids closed during this project, as air pressure buildup can create blowback in sewer lines.
• It is also recommended that residents run fresh water into their drains and traps, as this will help reduce pressure buildup and blowback in the lines.
