Boards & Commissions

Council Boards and Commissions are composed of volunteer members appointed by Village Council to focus on specific areas such as environmental stewardship and the arts. These groups play an important role in Village government by researching topics, discussing community needs, and making recommendations to Council. They also help shape and support the broader culture of the community.

Boards and Commissions are made up of residents who bring valuable perspectives and expertise to issues that impact the Village. Depending on the body, responsibilities may include supporting environmental initiatives, promoting public art, or advancing cultural programming.

The Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals are established by the Ohio Revised Code and serve distinct roles. These bodies are responsible for reviewing development proposals and making decisions on appeals related to zoning requirements.
