Review your citation for the Ordinance with which you have been charged. The chapter number corresponds with a specific fine amount, plus applicable state and city costs. See the fine schedule below for more information.

PLEASE NOTE ALL CRIMINAL CITATIONS REQUIRE AN APPEARANCE.

If the "NO" block is checked under "Financial Responsibility Proof Shown" on the citation, you MUST provide proof of financial responsibility (i.e. insurance information) to the Clerk of Mayor's Court when payment is made, or at your court appearance. Failure to do so may result in the suspension of your license by the Ohio BMV.
   
If the "Personal Appearance Required" block is checked "NO" on the citation, you may do one of the options below PRIOR to the scheduled court date, or you will be expected in court.
   
COURT COSTS: If a court appearance is required, or if you choose to appear in court and you are found "GUILTY," $80.00 will be added to your violation.
   
For example, if you were cited for Reasonable Control ($120) and wanted to contest the the charge, and you are found guilty, the total would be $200. 
   
DISTRACTED DRIVING ENHANCEMENT: If you have received a citation for an offense with the distracted driving enhancement, an additional $100.00 with be added to the original offense. Prior to paying your citation you may have the additional $100.00 waived by taking a distracted driving course within 30 days of ticket issuance.

PAY ONLINE: Secure payments may be made using a debit or credit card here. Please note a convenience fee will apply.
   
PAY IN PERSON: You may pay the Clerk of Mayor's Court on the 2nd Floor of the John Bryan Community Center. The Clerk is available to accept payments on Mondays from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Wednesdays from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and Fridays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

You may also pay your citation by cash or check, any time of day, at the YSPD Dispatch Window on the 1st floor of the John Bryan Community Center.
   
PAY BY MAIL: Make check or money order payable to the "Village of Yellow Springs" for the amount indicated on your citation. Please mail payments with the signed citation to the address below:
