The Village of Yellow Springs contracts with Rumpke Waste & Recycling to provide curbside trash and recycling collection for residential customers.
Unlike many surrounding communities that use flat-rate trash pricing billed directly by the hauler, Yellow Springs uses a tiered system based on container size. Recycling collection is included with all residential trash service at no additional cost.

Tiered Trash Service
The Village uses a tiered pricing system based on container size. This structure allows residents to choose the level of service that best fits their household needs. Households that generate less trash can select a smaller container and pay a lower monthly rate, encouraging waste reduction while maintaining flexibility.
